Explanation-How does bees make honey?

 In reading we read a explanation about honeybees and how they make honeys.

We wrote a explanation about how bees make honey.

This is my explanation.

How does bees make honey

  Flowers and crops have nectar and pollen which bees and other insects love to eat.

Bees collect the nectar and pollen from the flowers and the crops and store them in

their stomach. After that they return to their hive.

They turn that nectar into different parts of sugar like Glucose and Fructose.

When the worker honey bee returns to the hive,

they vomit the nectar into a processor honey bee's mouth and they continue doing this.

After filling their stomach into a simple sugar they finally vomit into the honeycomb.

But to get rid of the most water, the bees flap their wings which drys the water but leaves the honey.

 In RE, we made a poster.

We had to choose one word and tell what the word means.

Butterfly

In reading, we read a book called the Hungry caterpillar and we drew our own butterfly and a butterfly life cycle.

In the butterfly drawing I couldn´t think of my own butterfly so I drew a real butterfly called,

Isoteinon Lampropilus and I added some rainbow colours.

Designing the characters from Inside out

 In writing, we designed the characters (emotions) from the film (Inside out) or a emotion that you like.

Korean Pancake recipe

Today, we cooked Korean Pancakes.

Recipe

Mix all ingredients together and then ferment it for 5 hours.

Pan fry it with any sweets you would like (I put brown sugar and nuts).

Ingredients

Flour 150g

Warm water or milk 50g

Yeast 2g

Sugar 15g

Salt 2g

1. Mix all the Ingredients together.

Feeling emotion- Inside out

 Today at writing ,we wrote about when we felt that emotion and when, where,who,what.

I chose the emotion that is in the film ( Inside out).

I chose the emotion Disgust.

Information report-Taekwondo

 Today we wrote a Information report about the games in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

I chose Taekwondo.

Tokyo 2020 Paralympic games

Taekwondo is one of two new Paralympic sports at Tokyo 2020 and it´s a Korean Martial art.

There are kicks like back kicks and spinning kicks.

 

What  are the competing  disciplines in Taekwondo?

There are two disciplines in Paralympic taekwondo: Kyorugi for athletes with

upper limb impairments and Poomsae for athletes with neurological

l impairments

intellectual disabilities or visual impairments. Only Kyorugi will compete at the Tokyo Games. 

Events

Events are divided into four sport classes, from K41 to K44, with K41 being for athletes with

the greatest degree of impairment.

K44 and K43 will be integrated as one sport class at Tokyo 2020.

Men and women will each compete in three weight classes:

-61 kg, -75kg and +75kg for men, -49kg, -58kg and +58kg for women.

Head and trunk protection will be worn in all bouts.

Kicks and points

A rule specific to Paralympic taekwondo is that only kicks to the trunk count as valid attacks.

Kicks to the head are not permitted and result in a warning giving the opponent one point.

There are three types of valid points to the trunk. Two points are awarded for a valid kick,

they will get three points for a kick of 180 degree and they will get four points for a 360 degree spinning kick.

The decision  to award four points for 360 degree spinning kicks came in 2017.

Doing this exciting new move will make the audience excited.

Dynamic kicks have the defensive skills to guard against and stop opponents attacks are also vital.

In Taekwondo I learnt there are two disciplines in Paralympic taekwondo.

I hope to enjoy watching Taekwondo too!

Yeast experiment

Today We did a Yeast experiment.

Ingredient

Yeast, warm water, sugar, a bottle and a balloon.

1.put the Yeast, Sugar and warm water.

2. shake it

3. put the balloon on the top of the bottle.

Wait for 30-40 minutes.

This one is when I waited for 1 hour.

Describing the emotion

At 100 meter dash the Southern Dart Butterfly beat the Warthog, Domestic cat and Usian Bolt

(World champion) by 37 MPH.

At 100 meter Freestyle swim the Gray whale beat Eamon Sullivan,Emperor penguin and

water spider by 5 MPH.

At Long jump the Red kangaroo beat Puma,Impala and Bob Beamon by 43 FT.

 At writing we are learning about the characters in the movie Inside out.

We had to choose a emotion and come up with our own character.

I chose Proudness and we had to write a journal with our character.

Dear Journal,

Today Riley got her Math test result.

She got an F.

She was so sad that she cried all day.

The other guys and I were sad too.

Then I had an idea!

I tried to tell her that it´s OK because she tried her best.

We told her our messages.

Then in her mind she could start to listen to our messages.

Suddenly, she stopped crying.

Then she thought, ¨yes it´s OK cause I tried my best!¨

She was happy after that.

We were even happier than her!

Information report writing

In Room 6,we been learning to write a information report about Lions.

I found a interesting fact when I was writing my report,

the interesting fact I found was that there is 30 Lions in each pride.

Lions are the only cats that live in groups called pride.

There are 30 Lions in each pride.

There is one male and the other is female.

 

Lions look like....

Lions are big and they have sharp teeth and big claws for hunting.

Male Lions have mane surrounded on their  head but females don´t.

Male Lions have long Yellow fluffy manes.

What do they eat?

They are carnivore  animals so they eat meat like wild pigs and Zebras.

Where do they live?

Most of the Lions live in African Savannah.

African Savannah is a dried-long grassed land.

Some Lions are in zoos.

Lions are beautiful animals even though they are a bit scary.
